The Forest of Hope is a long-term program by CASP to help raise awareness about suicide prevention and promote healing while contributing to a healthy and sustainable forest. Our third Forest of Hope was planted on September 10, 2024 in Winnipeg, Manitoba in partnership with the Winnipeg Suicide Prevention Network with land and trees provided by the City of Winnipeg.
The Forest is located in Whittier Park at 836 St. Joseph Street, Winnipeg. It features two benches engraved with the word “hope”, translated into the most common languages spoken in Winnipeg, and two signs marking the spot will speak to the importance of the Forest and guide visitors to suicide prevention resources.
