Aly Raposo lives in in Winnipeg Manitoba and is the Human Rights Committee of Council Coordinator for the City of Winnipeg. Recipient of several awards for her work and having spoken internationally at hundreds of events talking about mental health, Aly was listed as one of the 8 Influential Millennials in Winnipeg to Watch in 2017. In any spare time, she likes to spend it with her large family, celebrate Portuguese roots and serve her community. She sits on the board of directors for the Alpha House Project where she advocates to end gender-based violence.
To extend her service, she applied for the CASP board of directors. Aly has lived with mental illness since a young age, advocated, brought awareness and continues to do so. She is familiar with personal experiences of suicidal thoughts and behaviours.
