Amelia Curran, Director

For the past seven years, Amelia Curran has been heavily involved with political and humanitarian work, focused on mental health awareness and systemic reform.

As a musician, writer and producer/co-producer of 9 acclaimed albums and 16 years of international touring, garnering 17 music awards and over 30 nominations, Curran has been producing and directing a documentary film, including the intimate CBC production “Gone”, a story of art and suicide in Curran’s own community, and a celebration of legacies that exist dually as uncomfortable, yet inspiring.

Amelia, a resident of St. John’s Newfoundland, is the co-founder of “It’s Mental”, a grassroots community organization that focuses on the funding and sharing of knowledge on mental health realities and first aid mental health training to help safeguard our communities, families and friends.

Amelia feels the work of CASP is very synergistic and inspiring to her ongoing passions and is happy to be a Board Member to such an organization.
