Andrew Perez, Co Vice-President


Andrew Perez (he/him) is the founding Principal at Perez Strategies, a public affairs firm. He is a talented communicator and public affairs strategist with more than 15 years’ experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors.

Andrew has worked for a variety of organizations cutting across diverse sectors of the economy. His varied experience includes key roles at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, the Toronto Region Board of Trade, the Canadian Bankers Association and Canadian Tire Corporation. Andrew has also worked for government and opposition MPs in Ottawa, completed internships on Capitol Hill and Queen’s Park and worked in the Premier of Ontario’s office.

Andrew is a sought-after freelance writer, political commentator and Liberal strategist. His bylines have appeared in a myriad of prominent media outlets and his political insights have been quoted in dozens and dozens of top-tier outlets across Canada. Andrew regularly appears in broadcast media, including on networks like CBC News, CTV News, Global News and on TVO.

Actively involved in Canadian politics, Andrew has assumed volunteer roles on several local, leadership and central party campaigns over the past 15 years. He brings an exceptional understanding for the interface between politics, public policy and strategic communications at every level of government.

Intimately involved in his community, Andrew serves as a Director and Vice President on the non-profit Boards of Fife House and the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention. He holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University’s School of Journalism, a Master of Public Policy from the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, and a diploma in strategic public relations from the University of Toronto.
