Envisioning a Canada
without Suicide
In Recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day
The Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention hosts:
It can be intimidating to reach out to a family member, a friend, or a stranger about suicide, but doing so can change the course of their life.
Talking about suicide can be challenging, however, listening with a non-judgmental ear can help reduce feelings of isolation and remind the person that others care about them and provide them with hope for their future.
Knowledge can provide you with the confidence you need to help others.
By learning and understanding the impact of suicide (ideation or attempt), you can set aside fears of intervening and take steps reach out.
Please Join us as, as we welcome our panelists who will share their unique experiences of suicide attempts and ideation. Following the presentations there will be a live Q&A.
The education and information shared in this seminar will empower the broader community who want to help those in distress, by providing them with the knowledge to do so.
