2020 & 2021 CASP Annual Conference

May 11, 2020

CASP hosts annual national conferences each year, where we work closely with interested organizations across Canada who help us host each conference. Local hosts typically provide leadership to our conferences by articulating the theme, organizing the proposal selection/review process, and constructing the conference program in collaboration with CASP, as well as identifying the location for the conference and managing all local arrangements.

CASP supports our hosts by offering guidance, networking, as well as supplying a dedicated website including the online system for proposal selection/review and for collecting conference registrations.

Given the exceptional circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person conferences for 2020 and 2021 were postponed. In their place, National Webinars on Suicide Prevention, co-organized by the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention (CASP), the Association québécoise de prévention du suicide (AQPS) and the Centre for Research and Intervention on Suicide, Ethical Issues and End-of-Life Practices (CRISE) at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) were held, featuring a variety of topics of interest to clinicians, students, researchers, people with lived experience and community members with offerings in English and French.

We hope to see you at the 2022 National Conference on Suicide Prevention from May 11-13, 2022 in Montreal!
