International Survivor of Suicide Loss Day / Survivor Day is the one day a year when people affected by suicide loss gather around the world at events in their local communities to find comfort and gain understanding as they share stories of healing and hope. Last year, there were close to 400 Survivor Day events in more than 20 countries.
The important thing to remember is that Survivor Day has 3 main goals:
(1) to EDUCATE,
(2) to offer an opportunity for attendees to SHARE, and
(3) to help suicide loss survivors meaningfully COMMEMORATE their loved ones and the day—Survivor Day—itself.
