Pat Doyle, Community Education & Engagement Coordinator
Pat has more than 30 years of experience developing and coordinating suicide prevention and life promotion efforts, including establishing the PEI Division of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s comprehensive Suicide Prevention Program. In 2019, she coordinated the design and implementation of PEI’s new school-based suicide awareness and response program, ACTT for Life, and a suicide bereavement support program, Life After Suicide Loss.Pat was also part of the consulting team that developed The Building Blocks of Hope: A Suicide Prevention Strategy for Prince Edward Island. She is a co-founder and co-chair of the Canadian Suicide Prevention Coordinators Network, a certified ASIST Trainer and a Traumatic Loss Support Group Facilitator. In 2022, Pat joined the team of the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention (CASP) as Community Education and Engagement Coordinator, where she supports the organization’s Bereavement and Postvention Alliance and Co-chairs the Membership and Knowledge Translation Exchange Advisory Groups and the People Impacted by Suicide Working Group. Pat is eager to create opportunities for knowledge exchange and to increase capacity for local, regional and national suicide prevention and life promotion efforts in Canada.
