CASP’s 2022 conference, entitled “The ‘Together for Life’ National Conference on Suicide Prevention” is shaping up to be a conference not to be missed!
Being held on the campus of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM, Le Centre Pierre-Péladeau 300 Boul. de Maisonneuve Est) in the heart of the exciting Latin Quarter of downtown Montreal, this jointly organized conference by the Centre for Research and Intervention on Suicide, Ethical Issues and End-of-Life Practices (CRISE-UQAM) and the Association québécoise de prévention du suicide (AQPS) with support from us, will showcase the most current knowledge and practices in the broad field of suicide and its prevention.
The event will bring together the 31st Annual CASP Conference and the Grand Forum on Suicide Prevention that AQPS organizes every two years.
This year’s 3-day format includes a variety of presentations, keynotes, workshops, panel discussions, paper presentations, TED-style presentation sessions, roundtables and poster displays.
Intended to attract researchers, front-line clinicians, people with lived experience and sector professionals, our conference will allow for sharing of informed-based best practices and many knowledge exchange opportunities with a plethora of vibrant guest speakers.
The conference will include a Cocktail/Gala Event, a Healing Day for people who have been impacted by suicide loss and a pre-conference session on knowledge transfer in suicide prevention (in French language only).
IMPORTANT: The current rules no longer require vaccination against COVID-19 for participating in the conference. Wearing a surgical mask remains mandatory. All participants will be notified if there is a change in safety protocols.
